Did I say that GAARRÊT was the final work in the GAART Project? Well, in researching an art acquisition, I was reminded of Robert Indiana’s ubiquitous 1965 work “LOVE”, originally designed for New York’s MOMA Christmas card. So then, I decided to create a GAART work in that style and went about releasing a sneak peak in my own 2020 New Year’s card, marking my retirement from Corporate Life. I also discovered that the art ensemble, General Idea, used it as a base for their AIDS work that became an emblem of the times. I later discovered that the band Rage Against the Machine, also used it as one of their Album covers, AND get this, that cover could easily spell RGAE, which of course, is french for GAAR [RÈGLE GÉNÉRALE ANTI-ÉVITEMENT]. If the GAAR is not intimidating enough how is that for SCARY! Find the Christmas tree in each.
AVAILABLE SOON at The GAART Store!
